Does McCafé® have decaf coffee? Find out with our McCafé FAQ! We have all the answers to your frequently asked questions about McCafé beverages.

How much caffeine is in McDonald's coffee?

We publish the nutrients in our food as required by the FDA. However, the FDA does not require publishing caffeine levels.

Where can I buy McCafé® coffee?

Enjoy a perfectly balanced cup of McCafé® coffee that you can make at home. The “premium roast” McCafé coffee available at retail outlets is similar to the great tasting cup of coffee sold in McDonald’s restaurants. There are many additional varieties available at various retailers where you can buy groceries. Most McCafé packaged coffees are available in K-cup pods and ground bags.

Is McCafé® coffee sustainably sourced?

As of 2022, 99.9% of McDonald's total global coffee bean purchases were sustainably sourced using certifications such as Rainforest Alliance Certified™, Fair Trade USA or UTZ. Over half of our certified coffee purchases are from Rainforest Alliance Certified™ farms, including 100% of the beans used for our espresso in the U.S. and Canada.

Here in the U.S., in partnership with our franchisees along with McDonald's Canada, we invested $6.7 million in a farmer technical assistance program in Central America. Since the completion of the four-and-a-half year program, we helped nearly 15,000 coffee farmers produce more sustainably.

Farmers in the program saw amazing results. Participating farmers reported harvesting 45% yield increase compared to their neighbors.

Is McCafé® coffee responsibly grown?

In 2022, 99.9% of ground and whole bean coffee was sourced sustainably through Rainforest Alliance UTZ, Fair Trade International and Fair Trade USA certification, as well as programs approved by the McCafé Sustainability Improvement Platform, a framework to guide our entire coffee supply chain. Because we aim to help farmers preserve and regenerate nature and support biodiversity, over half of our certified coffee purchases are from Rainforest Alliance Certified™ farms, including 100% of the beans used for our espresso in the U.S. and Canada.*
